Northern Maine Regional AirportWhile the Northern Maine Regional Airport is owned and operated by the City of Presque Isle, it benefits all of Aroostook County. It is the only all weather, instrument landing system equipped facility north of Bangor. As such, it provides a crucial link to the outside world during emergencies. In times of bad weather, it has the only fixed wing aircraft based north of Augusta that can provide transport to larger medical facilities in Maine and Massachusetts. In addition, the Presque Isle based FedEx & UPS feeder operation is the only one north of Bangor.
